We own an Inogen g3, that we bought around May 2019, used by my father. He did not tell us the display screen stopped working, even though the unit seems to be supplying oxygen when he decides to use it. How to I arrange to get the display screen replaced? I might as well replace the columns and do routine maintenance at the same time.

Hi Kristin, Inogen One G3 is a pulse flow oxygen concentrator which means it only gives out oxygen when it detects a breath. Please make sure that nasal cannula is properly connected to the machine and the patient is breathing through the other end. You need to contact Inogen service centre if the issue persists. Hope this helps!

As long as nasal cannula is inside the mask near the nostrils so that it detects the breath.

My mother is 89 and although bright has had some decline (related to hypoxia before agreeing to use oxygen). She hates the idea of using anything, and if it's hard to learn she may reject it. What support does Inogen provide to help the person learn how to use their equipment? She will need repeated practice. Thanks

I have a inogen one G3, the red senor light is on and saying o2 service soon. I called to report this. I paid extra to get the lifetime warranty. I'm being told that the warranty doesn't cover this,that the (sieve beds) I guess that's what they are called. That they are a accessories. How are they are accessory? You need them to operate the machine. I was never told any of this at the time I bought this. Im on a fixed income,I can't pay for this. If I would of know this I would of never bought this unit. I have no idea what to do right now. Any advice?

Hi Dianna, Inogen considers sieve beds as accessory because they are use replaceable. Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do in this case except from buying sieve beds from the provider.

Having problems with home health care. I have insurance ok for both home and portable concentrators. SG Home Care, my supplier, is claiming that I can not use the portable units do to my flow rate of 3/l min and the battery life would be to short. The tanks I am using is detrimental to my well being. Besides my COPD I have Cardiac issues being aggravated by the weight of my oxygen delivery method. Please contact me at 510-239-8493. Hi Al, you can use the Inogen One G3 if you need pulse flow of 3 LPM, but if you require continuous flow of oxygen at 3 LPM then you won't be able to use the G3 system. Also, the battery gets discharged quicker if you use the machine at higher flow.

Hi I suffer with intense Cluster Headaches, once the cluster bout is present, no medication helps at all however Verapamil pills do prevent it for a while only, Wanted to know if the Inogen One G2 Portable Oxygen Concentrator will help when the headache is present?

Hi Kumar, cluster headache patients usually require high flow oxygen (around 8 LPM) for about 10-20 minutes during the clusters. Inogen One G3 may not be the best concentrator in your case. You can either use a high flow oxygen cylinder or a high flow home oxygen concentrator like AirSep Intensity 10, Invacare Platinum 10 or Philips Respironics Millenium M10. Do consult your physician for the flow before you go ahead with this.

Hi Betty, this alarm means that column maintenance is required within 30 days. You can press and hold the light button for 3 seconds to clear message from the display. The message will be silenced for 72 hours. Contact your equipment provider to arrange for service.

I need to run my POC into a bi-pap machine at night just on a 2-3 liter setting. When I do this it says breath cannot be detected of course. I just want to confirm that it will in fact continue to push oxygen out throughout the evening ignoring the alarm. I only have to do this about 5 nights a year, so not something I want to change manufacturers as a result of for a continuous flow concentrator.

Hi Jon, Inogen One G3 is a pulse flow only concentrator, it gives oxygen only when it detects your breath. In this case, machine will not be giving any oxygen at all.

Dear Oz Adams, purity of liquid oxygen (>99.5%) is higher than all oxygen concentrator machines including Inogen POCs which have oxygen purity of about 90-95%.

Inogen one G3 very frequently alerts that "no breath is detected". Nothing wrong with cannula. I think it is from open mouth breathing at night. I infrequently inhale. My understanding of this product is that when I do eventually inhale the machine will provide extra oxygen. My big question is.... given all that I have said, is this machine appropriate for meeting my sleep time needs. Am at setting 2 during day and at 3 during night.

Hello Sandy, Inogen one G3 works pretty well for a lot of patients during sleep and as you said, it does adjust its dose to make up for the decreased breath rate at that time. In your case you are breathing through your mouth at night, so no pulse flow portable oxygen concentrator would meet your requirement at night as they are effective only when you breath through your nose. You would require a continuous flow oxygen concentrator preferrably with a simple face mask.
